Unlike the last Confederations Cup, where the United States threw a massive wrench into proceedings,
the two favorites have advanced to the final of the 2013 Confederations Cup. World Cup and European
champions Spain will take on hosts Brazil, who have vastly improved since the appointment of new
manager Luiz Felipe Scolari.
Neither Uruguay and Italy were strong favorites to triumph at the FIFA Confederations Cup, but both came
very close to reaching the title decider. The South American champions were only edged out by a late goal
from the host nation, while the UEFA EURO 2012 runners-up took world and European champs Spain to
a penalty shoot-out.

Even though Nigeria have three points to Uruguay's zero, they're not in better shape than their knockout stage rivals if they don't win on Thursday.
Expect Spain to change their entire team or close to it against Tahiti on Thursday afternoon.
